Right of Withdrawal

Registering with talkbeforedate is free. It creates a user-account / platform contract, not a paid contract — a right of withdrawal under § 355 BGB doesn't apply to it. You can delete your account at any time, free of charge, via the app settings; deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

Statutory right of withdrawal
For talk+ subscriptions, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (KB-Bit Systems UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Karolingerstr. 20, 67354 Römerberg, email: see Imprint) by means of a clear statement (e.g. by email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Electronic withdrawal
You can also declare your withdrawal directly in the app — via the "Withdraw contract" function in Settings. After submitting, you immediately receive a confirmation in the app and, in addition, a confirmation by email on a durable medium.

talk+ as a digital service — immediate start and value compensation
talk+ is a digital service that we provide, at your express request, immediately after payment (immediate start). Before payment, we therefore obtain two things from you via two non-pre-ticked mandatory checkboxes:

• your express consent that we begin performance before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and
• your acknowledgement that, in the event of withdrawal, you owe proportionate value compensation for the service already provided up to that point.

No purchase is possible without both ticks.

Consequences of a valid withdrawal
Your withdrawal remains effective even after activation — the right of withdrawal does not expire automatically. If you withdraw within the period, we will reimburse all payments received from you promptly and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal, less proportionate value compensation for the period during which you were already able to use talk+ up to receipt of your withdrawal (§ 357(8) BGB). We calculate the portion already provided on a pro-rata time basis using the agreed total price of the term you selected (monthly or annual package).

Cancelling your talk+ subscription
To cancel your ongoing talk+ subscription (independently of the withdrawal right), use the "Manage subscription" button in Settings — this opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel directly online (§ 312k BGB). Alternatively, you can also cancel your talk+ subscription without logging in via our cancellation page.
